Sophie is a director and photographer.
In 2014 she collaborated with electronic music producer E.M.M.A. (who scored the recent GUCCI campaign featuring Tippi Hedren), directing LIGHT YEARS: THE FILM which premiered on Dazed and Confused and starred Ria Zmitrowicz.
In 2018 Sophie directed LIBERTY – a short film scored by E.M.M.A. which was released to mark the launch of E.M.M.A.’s independent label PASTEL PRISM RECORDS. The film premiered on The Wire and starred Jessica Burgess.
Most recently she directed the music video for Berlin based producer Teplice’s BRIGHT FUTURE (released on PASTEL PRISM RECORDS), which premiered on DJ MAG and collaborated with dreamy bedroom pop artist Dunebug – directing the music video UNINVITED, filmed in Margate.
She is currently editing a short film shot in Paris and her photography of E.M.M.A has been used in the art work for E.M.M.A’s new album INDIGO DREAM (collaborating with Morgan Hislop and Patrick Saville on the overall design – released 29.07.20).
Sophie’s influences include Joanna Hogg, Claire Denis, Agnès Varda, Sofia Coppola, Barry Jenkins and John Cassavetes.
